DocuCraft helps you create documents such as resumes and biodata. These documents contain personal details, so this page explains plainly what we keep and why.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password.
- Your documents: the text you type into a template, once you are signed in. If you are a guest, your draft stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
- Payment records: the amount, date, template and Razorpay payment reference. Card, UPI and bank details are handled entirely by Razorpay and never reach our servers.
- Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and to fix problems.
How we use it
To run your account, save and generate your documents, process payments, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your data and we do not use your documents for advertising.
Sharing
- Share links: if you create a share link, anyone who has the link can view a read-only snapshot of that document. Links are unlisted and hidden from search engines, but anyone you give the link to can pass it on. Deleting the document also deletes its share links.
- Service providers: Razorpay (payments) and our hosting and database providers process data on our behalf only to run the service.
- Legal requests: we may disclose information when the law requires it.
Cookies and storage
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember guest drafts, favourite templates and recently viewed templates. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any document from My documents.
- Delete your account from the Account page. This removes your documents and share links and detaches payment records from your identity. We keep the payment record itself (amount, date, payment reference) as required for accounting and tax.
- For any other request about your data, email support@example.com.
Retention and security
We keep your documents until you delete them or close your account. Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and sessions are stored in secure, HTTP-only cookies. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid putting sensitive identifiers such as government ID numbers in your documents.
